As a growing private equity firm focused on supporting founder-led businesses, Juniper Capital Management needed a visual identity and digital presence that reflected its differentiated approach to investment. The firm’s leadership wanted to move away from the traditional corporate aesthetic often associated with private equity and instead communicate a brand rooted in patience, resilience, partnership, and long-term growth.
The foundation of the identity was inspired by the symbolism of the juniper tree itself. Since 2015, the tree had represented the company’s core philosophy: strong roots, adaptability, resilience, and the ability to thrive under challenging conditions. Since the Juniper name was critical to the company’s identity, I explored how these characteristics could be visually expressed in a modern and sophisticated way while still maintaining warmth and approachability.
The mark was designed to feel grounded and enduring, while subtle references to branching growth patterns reinforced the company’s commitment to helping businesses scale at pivotal moments in their lifecycle. Typography and color palettes were intentionally refined and understated to position the firm as credible, established, and relationship-driven rather than overly corporate.
In parallel with the identity development, I directed the visual approach for the new website experience. The goal was to create a site that clearly articulated Juniper Capital Management’s unique value proposition while presenting the firm in a confident and modern way. The messaging centered around transforming the private equity experience for business owners through principled, patient, and flexible investment partnerships.
The website design emphasized clarity, trust, and accessibility. Clean layouts, restrained visual systems, and thoughtful pacing helped clarify financial messaging while reinforcing the firm’s people-first philosophy.
The completed brand and website positioned the firm with a contemporary design aesthetic, while authentically reflecting the values that define the organization: resilience, stewardship, flexibility, and people-focused partnership.
