The Greenbelt Brand Identity

The Challenge

A real estate and development firm sought to transform a 325-acre tract of land south of downtown Greenville into a vibrant mixed-use destination that would bring together residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, and entertainment experiences within a walkable, interconnected environment. Before development could begin, the project needed a compelling name, brand identity, and marketing platform capable of communicating a long-term vision to investors, community stakeholders, prospective tenants, and future residents.

The Strategy

I helped lead the branding effort from the ground up, beginning with the strategic naming of the development. Working closely with the creative team, I contributed to the creation of The Greenbelt brand, developing a visual identity that reflected the project’s emphasis on connectivity, growth, community, and outdoor experiences. The brand system was designed to support a multi-phase development that would evolve over many years while maintaining a consistent and recognizable presence.

To bring the vision to life, I helped develop the logo, brand standards, marketing collateral, investor materials, and website. Every touchpoint was designed to communicate the development’s unique positioning as Greenville’s premier mixed-use destination and to create excitement around its long-term potential. The website and supporting materials served as key tools for storytelling, helping investors visualize how the development would integrate living, working, shopping, entertainment, and recreation into a single connected community.

The Results

The Greenbelt brand established a strong foundation for one of the region’s most ambitious development projects, providing a clear identity and vision that could be leveraged across marketing, investor relations, and community engagement efforts.

Over the past two years, The Greenbelt has transitioned from a master-planned vision into an active, phased mixed-use development. Infrastructure investments, utility extensions, residential planning, and hospitality concepts have established the foundation for what is expected to become Greenville’s first large-scale mixed-use district. The brand has helped create awareness, build stakeholder confidence, and support the project’s continued momentum as development moves from concept to reality.
